You can grow iceberg lettuce like the supermarket has, but better. Ready to harvest 75 days after sowing seeds. Introduced in 1894, it defined a whole new class of lettuce. The classic crisphead lettuce. Crisp, firm, tightly packed, ice-green leaves grow in compact, medium-sized heads. Iceberg makes medium-sized heads solidly packed to the center with crunchy leaves. Light green fringed and heavily ruffled outer leaves with hearts that blanch to silvery white. Grows best in cool weather.
